What people are
saying...
"My involvement in Shidokan began one and a half years ago when I moved to London. A friend recommended me to an all women's self defense course based on a Japanese martial art [The Shidokan GB London Women's Unit].
For years I had wanted to become involved in such activity and this presented the perfect opportunity. I had no expectations because I knew little about Kirsty [Five Rings Chief Instructor]. However, I learned very quickly that what I became involved in was not just a course to teach women to fend off street attackers, but an entrance into the Shidokan philosophy and way of life. It is Kirsty's passion, dedication and deep understanding of the samurai way (literally the meaning of "Shidokan") that encourages beginners suchas myself to share in and match that enthusiam.
Participating in Shidokan on a weekly basis has provided me with a spiritual
and physical outlet. As a result, I feel excited and empowered by the new world
into which I have been adopted."
